John, Nice image. Like the natural pine tree as a perch. In South Texas, we have a subspecies of the Northern Cardinal that is a bit different than those in the North. Based on the reddish crest, is this an immature male?

Thanks for commenting on my image ,Gene. If I'm not mistaken this is a full grown female cardinal.
