Broad-tailed Hummingbird being threatened by Black-chinned Hummingbird
Selasphorus platycercus and Archilochus alexandri
Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, United States
11 September 2017       Adult Female (Broad-tailed) at Yellow Bells (Tacoma stans) flower and immature male (Black-chinned).

Had fun shooting another annual fall migration influx of hummingbirds in the yard.  400-600 hummers per day as measured by the 12 cups of sugar water we go through per day.

D810, 70-200 f2.8 @ 200
1/125th, f14, ISO 400
Gitzo, Wimberely, 5 strobes

Very cool Rick. Just love the dynamic pose and the Great head angle and details on this bird. The main subject is really sharp too. Not sure if the bird in the background is helping the image but the forground bird really is special. Great capture.
