Shot this afternoon. It was my day of work so I went to check out the owls. I came across this one twice, once in the morning and when I came back late afternoon the owl was still sitting in the same spot.
It was making whole kinds of stretching and body postures.

I like the ruffled feathers here Ludo, with those intent eyes it looks as though it is going to swoop .

Neat picture of an owl trying to get a pellet out.

A fine image with great detail, Ludo. One of my favorites of your images.

Nice behaviour capture!  Sounds like it was trying to regurgitate a pellet.  When I was a child I was fascinated by them, and used to pull them apart - lots of tiny vole jaw bones which they couldn't digest!  :)

Nice pose. He's quite tight in the frame, do you have any more
room to loosen the crop?

Thank you all for the kind words.
Dorian there is a very little room left to loosen the crop and I didn't like the very little empty space since it was bright overblown portion of the sky between branches and it would only create distraction. If the background on the left of the owl would be better I would not even crop it..but there is a very little crop begin with.  Thank you for the good suggestion.
