"Crab" Kite

Snail Kite - The Pantanal, Brazil
D500, 500mm, ISO 800, f/6.3, 1/160s

We noticed crab shells below this fence post the afternoon before I took this and observed a Snail Kite landing here once.  So the next morning I set out early in hopes of catching a Snail Kite with a clean background (messy background shots are easy because these guys are all over the Pantanal).  I didn't have to wait more than a couple of minutes before this "Crab" Kite did exactly what I had hoped he would do...
