I guess it's true - the early bird does catch the worm......;)

Image made an Dunnet Head, northern Scotland.

When the sun was out in the morning - a rare occasion - it was truly glorious.

I was just in the Orkney Islands.. I never saw the sun.. Great image.. I guess its cloudy there often? I looked around Europe for these birds and never found one

Hi James

Northern Europe tends to have unpredictable weather.

Stonechats are actually not that uncommon - we saw several on our trip.

In spring they can be seen on Sardinia - much better weather.

Lovely image Sinuhe, so nice to get them both together and in such a pretty setting. The food in the beak is a bonus and the golden light is beautiful!

Thanks Carol - it was just one of those wonderful mornings when it all comes together.
