One from last July 2016, Washington State.. Thanks always for looking and comments. Nikon D800, bean bag, peanuts used for a few days :>) , ISO 200 1/640 F6.3.

James' where in Washington State did you get this? My understanding was that this species does not exist in Washington State.

I meant Oregon.. It was last year and I got confused.. :>)

James, the peanuts worked a charm, sweet pose, interesting perch with the lichen, and especially, a beautifully toned BG.  Lovely capture, keep that backlog work going :)

James, Background, detail, bird--all are very nice. I think the single limb in front of the bird detracts from the image. I think I would have broken the limb off just above the larger clump of lichen?
