What a great shot! Its funny you should post this today. I was standing on top of a large culvert pipe in a similar situation this morning when I thought of either this post or a similar one you posted a few years ago thinking it would sure be nice to get a shot like that! My success ratio.....tons of blurry birds and the sore neck and shoulders you speak of. :) Awesome picture!

Argh!!!!! This is the image I've been trying to get for years!! Thanks for the great information.

This couldn't be better - great pose, perfect wing position, eye contact, clean BG and tack-sharp.
