This was THE bird of the trip... shot basically handheld, from a boat which we could not stop, within what seemed a very short time, less than half a minute, before she flew away, and perched higher...
we had further opportunities but not as good as this ...
Not ideal conditions (mid-day, shadows, weight of the 600mm, powerful river...)... but what memories !!!

Ugolino, I agree with you about the shooting condition but the bird is worth. I think is everybody dream to see and photograph The Harpy Eagle. I will remember all my life that moment.
