Fledgling or Mommy?

Recent shot of this Great-horned owl. I am not sure now anymore if this is the fledgling or the mommy. The larger of the two young owls
is almost indistinguishable from adult.
I tracked this one deep in the woods and found a crack between branches where I could get clear shot. Mosquitoes were everywhere.
Even tough I was covered well with bug repellent those blood suckers wanted to get piece of me.

Understand your position on the mosquitos - been there myself. It is interesting how quickly the young owls grow. Nice details and eye contact on this one.

Ludo, the puffy pose created some nice depth & detail on those lovely feathers, really nice.  Yep, hate when the bugs bite, especially when you're trying to stay steady & shoot, so annoying!
