Spotted Nutcracker in morning light

We spotted this Nutcracker on a rock while birding in one of the Alpine coniferous forests of Eastern Himalayas during pre-winter time. The dried up vegetation provided the background.

(Nikon D500 & 500 f4 VR2) Shutter - 1/400, F - 5.6, ISO – 640;

I APPRECIATE CRITICISMS.
THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR VIEWING & INPUTS.

Great-looking Nutcracker and I like how it blends with the lichen on the rock.

Somdeb, Well taken photograph. I think that maybe the rock in the foreground takes away from the emphasis on the bird?

Sincere thanks for your input. My intention was to show how it always take a vantage position to watch around - as rocks, tree tops etc. To compose this shot again I will definitely try out a different crop. Thanks again.

Somdeb, love the way the speckled marking on bird ties in with the lichened perch, really sweet natural-looking frame, very well done!
