Perfect angle to capture eyes and helplessness of prey.
This is such an excellent image, I'll offer a couple suggestions for further improvement:
- work on that dark, blank eye of the falcom. Select the eye only, then play with levels and brightness/contrast to get a bit of catchlight.
- select the feet and beak and tone down the brightness. The mouse could be darkened as well.
- try shadow adjustment on the falcom to bring out some detail in the dark areas and tail.
Then - a terrific image becomes exceptional!

Very fine capture!
