Continuing in the vein of earlier posts, I now choose the Long-tailed Potoo, difficult to find and photograph.
Luckily, while staying at the fabulous Cristalino Lodge, at the southern edge of the Brazilian Amazon basin, the local guides knew of a little swamp in the forest where a Potoo would come at dusk to hunt. Amazing to see them flying off the branch in a second, and back to it immediately !
Photo taken without flash, nor extra lighting, in near total obscurity.
One of the great memories of last year's trip to the Pantanal.
Enjoy !
