I was fortunate to find 3 or 4 males of this specie in one location in the Cascade Mountains of Washington. The light was very poor making it a challenge to capture these fast moving little birds. I was pleased with the way the 7D2 handled it at ISO 1600, sometimes with shutter speeds at 1/90 sec.
Please click on image for uncompressed view, thanks. Canon 7D2, 500mm, ISO 1600, f/5.6, 1/250 sec, manual exposure, tripod. Bob Kothenbeutel
