Here's a breeding plumage Sanderling from the Texas coast photographed on the Bolivar Peninsula a few weeks ago.

Great picture! Beautiful light, colors and the background that comes with that great angle! I'm puzzled with the reflection.

Thanks Joelee, I'm not sure what the reason for the odd reflection is, I didn't do any cloning in the image.  The foreground is where the water has retreated as the tide goes in and out, I think a line/variation in the foreground probably caused the distortion.

the low angle is the way to do it and the graduated bg color tones are a bonus for the shot.

It's all about the light, and the light is perfect! The light angle, look at the perfectly centered catchlight, and the light quality are fantastic.
Great low showing angle too. Well done
