For completeness, here is the female Arizona Woodpecker. Taken in SE Arizona, Madera Canyon on an Alan Murphy/Rick Bowers 8 day super tour. 1Ds3, 600mm, f/5.6, 1/2500th, iso 500

At least as good, if not better, than the one of the male. Excellent photos. Now you have the pair very well documented.
