Shot this evening. On the way home from work I stopped by one of my favorite wildlife refugee. I was shooting some Tree Swallows in flight...got few decent shots and before I went home I decided to check out the Great-horned Owls, if mommy and fledglings are still in the area. Couldn't find them anywhere. There was one more place where they could be and sure enough I found 2 little ones. I got some shots of them, but bit too far for decent images. I was just about ready to leave when I saw something landing to my left not too far.
Sure enough, mommy came to investigate. Owl was directly in to he sun, so I had to move to the left to get better angle. Soon as I got few shots, mommy took of. I got lucky . 1D4, EF300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS 1/500, ISO-1250, f/3.2 ...+2.0 EV, handheld. Please click on the image for uncompressed view, thank you. |
