Shot this evening. On the way home from work I stopped by one of my favorite wildlife refugee. I was shooting some Tree Swallows in flight...got few decent shots and before I went home I decided to check out the Great-horned Owls, if mommy and fledglings are still in the area. Couldn't find them anywhere. There was one more place where they could be and sure enough I found 2 little ones. I got some shots of them, but bit too far for decent images. I was just about ready to leave when I saw something landing to my left not too far.
Sure enough, mommy came to investigate. Owl was directly in to he sun, so  I had to move to the left to get better angle. Soon as I got few shots, mommy took of. I got lucky :-).

I like the better angle you acquired. It's part of the game, and it paid off for you here. Good job!

Nicely done, Mako. It was worth to investigate.
