Spruce Grouse, male during display to a female!
Adirondacks, NY State complete with clouds of black flies
taken yesterday morning in a remote boreal bog, a bird I have hoped to photograph again this year. I was with researchers for this species.

handheld lying on damp moss forest floor
amazing to me that ISO 1000 looks fine
