Photo taken at Laguna Seca Ranch in South Texas May 7, 2017.

Nikon D810, 300mm lens, 1.4 TC, 1/1600 sec at f/6.3, ISO 800.

Wonderful capture, Gene. I love the look-back pose and colors. Your recent backgrounds, including this one, are killer. I would love to know your technique.

Ron, If you're talking about the backgrounds, I do not have a technique.  This is the background as it was photographed.  Laguna Seca Ranch has worked hard to move the backgrounds away from where the photo is taken to help enhance the image.  During this time of the year, it is probably the best.  The heat and lack of rain in South Texas begins killing off the grass, which allows the beautiful gold colored backgrounds.
