Rose Robin Petroica rosea

Haven't had the 500mm out for a while, but heard the contact squeak of the Rose Robin from our front deck this morning.  They migrate from rainforest to drier surrounding forest in winter and a single male is semi regular, arriving in the eucalypts in our front yard each May.

A great specimen, Chris. Love the pose and the background. What an attractive bird.
