American goldfinch female

I'm not sure which is harder to photograph in flight, goldfinches or swallows. Both are a challenge with many images rejected (at least in my case). I was fortunate to get this female yesterday. I can accept the wing blur with this species.
I'm still trying for a male.

It is pretty amazing to be able to capture this small bird so well, Bob.
I won't even try they are so fast.

Wow!! Killer capture Bob. Love the complementary colors and the nice details in the face. Looks great in the larger size.
