One the many favorite birds. The mixture of colors can be incredible.

Nice portrait of one of my favorite birds. Ditto on the color variations with this species. A few years ago I had them coming to my feeder and saw males that varied from bright red to gold and all mixtures between.

The colors are great, but the crossed bill is amazing. Wonder why it evolved?
