Taken yesterday in my back yard. Timing these take-off flights is difficult. I got lucky here with a good wing position. I had only one opportunity to get this shot.

Bob, You're right, these are difficult to get. Looks like the focus might be a bit more on the wing, vice the eye?

Great catch! The overall image seems pretty bright, so you might experiment with darkening it and adding some contrast. The white area on the rump is blown, so that could use a little help too.
A VERY nice image worth a bit more processing.

Nice take-off pose. Good result considering what look like tough lighting conditions.
