Shot yesterday evening. Finally was able to get a shot of this fella.
I didn't seem him for a while. It was getting really dark when he came out.
I decided to shoot EF 300mm f/2.8 without TC to keep fast aperture.
Decent amount of crop.
1D4, EF 300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS
1/800, ISO-1000,f/2.8 handheld.

Lovely shot!
Tack-sharp head and body, and slightly-blurred wings impart the impression of movement.
the high-key presentation makes the owl just pop off the page.
Very well-done!
