Was visiting Rockport/Gloucester, Mass. - spotted the Snowy at quite a distance, on the way home. Maybe not every feather showing, but loved the perch and it's contortions. Wish I'd had my 150-600 lens out...

Nikon D500, 300 f/4 + 1.4 TC. f/8, 1/4000, ISO 800 handheld.

Lovely composition and such a sweet pose.on the rugged old stump, So nice to include some natural habitat. My only tiny nit is where that horizontal reed runs up against the head - but that is an easy fix.

Cindy, the habitat makes this, it' a lovely scene! Your comment about "reed-be-gone" cracked me up. Perhaps the phrase will become more common in the Birds Gallery.  :wink:  Your egret is great!
