Another Kinglet! Well, this is what is available now in the local park, and I'm practicing on them.

Nikon D500, 300mm f4 PF + X1.4TC
1/3200, f/5.6, ISO640

Wow! that crown really pops off of that dark background. Great detail and pose. Perfect for a birders guidebook.

Gorgeous red crown! I'm impressed both with the picture and your specs- I use the same combo at times, and find it works quite well if you're fairly close. Wish I had some of these beauties to "practice on"
