Another Kinglet! Well, this is what is available now in the local park, and I'm practicing on them. 

Nikon D500, 300mm f4 PF + X1.4TC
1/3200, f/5.6, ISO640

The details are amazing again and the crest up puts it over the top.

Wow! that crown really pops off of that dark background. Great detail and pose. Perfect for a birders guidebook.

Gorgeous red crown! I'm impressed both with the picture and your specs- I use the same combo at times, and find it works quite well if you're fairly close. Wish I had some of these beauties to "practice on" :). Really lovely shot.
