Two males size each other up on a frozen bog during my Finland / Norway photo tour. These fancy chickens are now in my top 10 favorite birds - beautiful shapes & iridescence!  3:30 am starts made for some whining from the group and we had to deal with some stupid high ISO's.  Uh, I remember when film would have made this stuff impossible!!!!!!

The ol' essence of grouse in the BG. Very cool frame. So rad to catch them in the snowy setting. Must have been exciting.
