Peregrine male taking flight

The female of this mated pair has been staying lower down on the cliff, near the nest site. The male comes up near the top at times, from where he launches his hunting forays/dives. He grabbed a flicker over the river this time but did not come back up to this perch with his catch, he proceeded to the nesting area down below.
