The Summer Tanager.

A bird that it is seen in our Island but not very often at all. I saw it on a daily basis while in Costa Rica and thankfully had many opportunities to photograph it. I saw it in all kind of plumage, Orange, Red/Orange mix & fully Red.

Nice frame. You've kept some lovely details in that red plumage. Judging by your settings your lighting wasn't as low as it can be in Costa Rica, i've talked with people who say the slow shutter speeds are a real challenge there.
Thanks for looking,

We were lucky enough to have lots of time with decent light, but at times it does get dark not because of clouds but because lots of the bird species stay under the trees or in really shaded areas. At times it does get cloudy and a bit dark so lots of flash (wish I don't like), low shutter speed and high ISO are a must. I have some photos with shooting at 1/80s... mostly all are blurry but every now and then I got a sharp one.
