We had this visitor being caught in the act.
They have to make a living as anybody else.
Sorry for the perch but it was his/her choice.
She/he spent about half an hour on the fence, fell into sleep between the two food portions, then flew up into one of the trees for an other five minutes, but was covered by small branches.
Thanks for looking.

This really tells a story , and I like yours, Karl. Sort of glad that the branches are covering the feast though. :). Cool Sharpie shot.

Karl, no worries about the perch, it is nicely weathered and it's all about the story that is wonderfully being told here.  Lovely feather patterns and details captured on this beauty with nice complementary BG and a dramatic nature story.

The fact that the fence is green with algae, and the fact that the gore of the kill is covered by the branch both make this one work nicely for me.
Very cool frame of this female adult sharpie. She's got a pretty good sized bird in her feet too. Well done Karl

Nice shot. Fresh kill as it gets. Good size bird he/she is munching on.

Thank you all.
The good size bird was a Mourning Dove, more than likely the one hanging around on our front- and backyard for the longest time with no company.
Mourning Doves are my wife's number one favorite birds but she seems to know that this bird was an old one and was ready to die.
