I am curious to hear what people think of this image. Lighting conditions were beyond terrible - midday sun positioned high and behind the subject. Clouds helped to diffuse that vertical light, but the bird was so cool/striking that I shot it anyway. I did a bit of work in post and this is the best that I have managed. I have been trying really hard to incorporate more habitat into my shots, so, even though this shot is a a bit busy in the background, I am generally OK with it.
All feedback welcome, good and bad. Canon 400mm IS DO II + 1.4x II on EOS 1DIV 1/1000 at f/5.6, ISO 800, handheld at Tikal (Mayan site) Thanks! Dorian |
