Sometimes after a disappointing day one discovers an image that didn’t seem memorable when it was taken.  Sitting in a blind waiting for something exciting to happen, this killdeer landed on a nearby log.  Not wanting to move my big lens I snapped off a couple of shots with the 100-400.  I have printed and framed a 13” X 19” for my wall.

Nice high key effect. The reflection really helps make the image.

Dean, good for you to take opportunity and have it be an inspiration for thoughtful reflection (pun intended).  Very nice profile pose and mood with a serene type of simplicity to it, well done.
