Juvenile Crested Caracaras

Photo taken at Laguna Seca Ranch in South Texas last week.

Nikon D810, 300mm lens, 1/2000 sec at f/5.6, ISO 640.

There's always a dominant Caracara at every gathering.  This shows the dominant Caracara with his head back.  They seem to do this whenever they are proud of something they just did or just want to show off.
