Took this shot yesterday afternoon, along with some Short-eared owl shots. I couldn't resist and take this picture. My first of the
Yellow-rumped Warbler. What a beauty. I love the yellow mix with the grey.
I experimented with 2.0X TC II with my EF300mm f/2.8L
1DX, EF300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS plus 2.0X TC II. making it effectively 780mm lens on 1D4 body (1.3X crop).

Striking image, love everything about it but I love the perch the most since we don't have this nice lichen covered perch wildly available around here.

Ludo, beautiful bird and image, the pose shows off the namesake yellow rump well, love the lichen and complementary BG.  Kudos to transitioning with the seasons, your enthusiasm will take you far, no matter what your subject.
