Photo taken at Laguna Seca Ranch in South Texas last Saturday.

Nikon D810, 300mm lens, 1/800 sec at f/9.0, ISO 800.

Was photographing by myself, so to get better detail, I moved a perch to about 15 feet from the blind.  Hadn't planned on photographing, so I did not have a flash with me.  I think a flash might have improved the detail a bit.

The detail looks really good to me Gene, I think you could bump the contrast a touch though. Sweet portrait!

Fabulous detail, particularly around the beak. Never seen on this well so thanks for sharing this!
