Sword-billed Hummingbird - Ecuador

This shot was not taken at one of the Hummingbird set-ups but rather just out in space with a single flash attached to the camera...

The wing blur looks good in this shot. They sure have some neat hummingbirds down there!

E.J., lovely free-form capture of this amazing hummer and its lengthy saber of a bill.  Razor sharp where it needs to be, and also, an intimation of their frenetic wing beats.

We have a few hummingbirds in Texas, but this guy gives me beak envy. Fascinating.
