Short-eared owl perched

Here is a shot from this early  morning. I stumble upon this owl perched on the dead tree. It was just looking around and once in a while gave me the look "Are you still here??"
This is almost full frame shot with a slight crop.
1D4, EF300mm f/2.8
1/2500, ISO-1250, f/2.8 handheld.

Nice capture. I would wish for a little more room at the top. The uncompressed version is really awesome with its more detailed view.

Ludo, the owl looks amazing with its look back pose and the scene is very captivating.  I can sense the damp cold, and with the owl serving as a highlighting beacon - beautiful frame.
