This has been a great year for this bird...one of my most favorite species. Unfortunately his visit has ended, but I'm grateful for the time he gave me. 

Nikon D810; Nikkor 500mm f4 VR, ISO 1000; f6.3; 1/200th; Nikon SB900 fill flash with SB700 on the background.

This bird doesn't flash well but you were able to bring out true colors in this shot, nice going.

For some reason Mike, I looked and went to comment and failed.... OMG.. a distraction... dunno..  my thoughts a  few days back were super shot... love the lichen... The orange, a strong colour contrast to the greens   ....   Congrats on the EP.. BTW.  superb flash work
