One of my favorite pic from the set taken last weekend. Here, owl took a sharp 180 deg turn and headed straight towards me. This is what I love the most about Short-eared owls, they fly like a giant moth very unpredictable and erratic making it challenging to take pictures of them in flight. Every day of shooing is different.
1D4, EF300mm f/2.8L USM NON-IS
1/2500, ISO-250, f/2.8 handheld.

Ludo, love that oncoming pose and beautiful eyes, really nice color harmony between owl and natural habitat.
