A photo from the rare opportunity I had to photograph these birds from close range last week. They are extremely skittish when approach, but if you lay down for a while and with luck they sometimes comeback to the same spot and closer to you.

Ray, wonderful wings up pose for a peek at the dark armpit field mark.  Lovely low angle, great eye contact and a beautiful blue water BG, very well done.
