I haven't had the time for any setup photographer recently, so I've been mostly getting out and identifying birds instead (more exercise than sitting in a blind). I don't usually expect to get any decent shots while on the move, but after rounding a corner this lovely dove just sat there and watched me at quite close distance. Not a stunning shot, but haven't posted in a while, so why not  :)

Balancing birding and photography is really hard. I love blinds but shooting only from them get old after a while. Plus I like I feel like I want to get out into the habitat and find birds on my own. Feels more authentic that way, at least to me. Good work on this shot. Knotty perch helps a lot.
