Yesterday was another incredible day with this awesome owl. It was flying very close, sortie after sortie and landed few times next us ...group of 5 photographers.
This shot was made late afternoon, when was getting darker.
1D4, EF300mm f/2.L USM NON-IS
1/1600, ISO-1600, f/2.8 handheld

Mako, I really like this one. Too bad the lighting conditions didn't allow you to close down the lens for more dof.

Fantastic shot, love the eye contact. Maybe just a little tight in the frame for me, but otherwise nicely done.

This one is really nice, Mako. Looks like lighting was tough, so big props for managing this fine shot considering that.
