I really like this shot. Here this Short-eared owl was doing it's usual flight sorties scanning for the voles and in split second deployed it's air brakes and dove down for the vole (missed that one).
It is amazing how quickly they can turn, dive or even stop and hover. Notice the open mouth and tail feathers crossed.
