Booted Racket-tail - Ecuador

Not up to the standards of what is generally considered a good photo on NSN as the head turn police will hate the head on/back of head composition ;) but it's just too much fun from a behavioral standpoint not to post it. :D

E.J., Not sure what you mean about an incorrect head turn. The two Hummingbirds are looking directly at each other, which seems to me to be the only head turn that would be correct. I guess I am failing as a potential member of the head turn police. This is a neat photo!

E.J., gosh, love those micro-tiny feet coming out of their fluffy white boots, wonderful ballet with their double 'X' poses and interaction, really sweet frame.

Sweet interaction image. Tell the head turn police that the action captured, overrides the head turn issue.

Great shot EJ, ***** the head turn police, not every shot needs one, this captures the moment perfectly.

Perfect head angle for both birds in this interaction shot.
Interesting frame, EJ!

Great shot and setting! You did well with the dof on this one. I tried a few like this but one was always way out of the range of acceptable sharpness. Beautiful tails!
