I was in Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia, during the bald eagle festival there (beginning of February) and this fight happened in front of us.
Such fights are rare, fierce, brief (very often they last only a fraction of a second) and very often one of the two eagles shows only its back to us. So getting these two guys face to face in front of us in sweet light was a superb gift for all the photographers present. And it lasted a good long 4 seconds! I nicknamed the guy on top, the fighter. You can see it has a broken beak and he was more agressive because he was unable to cut the food in small bites, so he was often chasing after other eagles to get their bites. Hope you like it!
