The beauty of the 5D Mark IV camera is that you can use all the focusing squares even with an F 8.0 lens.
It comes handy when the duck is so close that it fills up the frame.

Thanks Gene, I fully agree with you.
It came way too close for the 1000 focal lens and I did not want to fumble around with taking off the extender,
as I was right at the water's edge.
Actually it was a good opportunity to test how fast I could move the active focusing square to the head/neck area
at extreme closeness, using the thumb dial in the back.
