When I first started focusing on shooting Grebes during the breeding season there were a few frames that I had always wanted to capture. The "Rushing" frame, which I am fortunate to have a few nice ones. The "Weed Dance" frame, which I have yet to get, and the "Heart" frame, which I only have one good one of.
It proved the be hardest one to get so far.
Hope you like it and Happy Valentines day!!

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. I appreciate it.

David, both the heart shape created and their loving demeanor say "Valentine" with a capital V, beautiful display poses with shining ruby eyes as jewelry.  Their fluffed up brush cut is pretty cool - a delightful image and here's wishing you the "Weed Dance" frame you want, soon.

Beautiful! \And thanks for the lesson on this species' behavior - I had heard of the rushing, but not the others.

Best,

Matt

Outstanding frame. Classic behavioral image. Love the raised breast on the right hand bird.
