Great Luck! I discovered a long-lost CF card from my 2012 South Africa trip in the lining of an old field jacket. Lots of stuff to look at these next few rainy weeks (I’d forgotten the 50D was a pretty good piece of equipment…just slow). Here’s the first of some newly processed images.

Canon 50D, 500mm + 1.4, ISO 800, f10 @ 1/800

Congrats on finding your card Dean! This is a Fiscal Flycatcher, not a Common Fiscal Shrike, nice shot.

Nate, I believe you're correct, looking in my field guide at the location of the secondary wind-patch on both species. However, looking closely there's a definite hook in the bill in the image. I guess that's what fooled me.
