I went to my favorites sea duck location yesterday and found a ton of surf scoters as well as a small number of white-winged scoters and 4-5 harlequins. The long-tailed ducks and black scoters have apparently not arrived yet. I find this group of ducks fascinating and always look forward to their return in the fall.
