I like this a lot.
The detail and lighting are fantastic. The sleeping parent is seen just enough. The goslings that are looking at the camera are like any two kids that know they should be asleep!
Great story, well captured.

Richard, this is such a special moment you captured. I love everything about it! If it were mine, I would tilt a bit to the right & crop in from the left and maybe slightly vignette the bottom corners to detract from the OOF corner.
